School Levels and Growth Stages

Northfield International School focuses on all-inclusive development as students’ progress through different stages. With a strong belief in the versatile National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, our school reimagines education in India through four distinct stages designed to cater to the developmental needs of students.

FOUNDATIONAL

The Foundational Stage (ages 3–8) covers preschool and Grades 1–2, focusing on play-based and experiential learning to develop language, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional abilities.

PREPARATORY

The Preparatory Stage (ages 8–11) spans Grades 3–5, emphasizing discovery-based and interactive learning to strengthen foundational skills and introduce structured subjects.

MIDDLE

The Middle Stage (ages 11–14), encompassing Grades 6–8, shifts to experiential learning in sciences, mathematics, arts, social sciences, and vocational education while developing critical thinking and analytical skills.

SECONDARY

Finally, the Secondary Stage (ages 14–18) includes Grades 9–12 and promotes multidisciplinary education with flexibility in subject choices, deeper learning, and preparation for higher education or careers.
